Muhasabah Diri

Jumaat lepas kat opih ada perhimpunan bulanan kali pertama untuk tahun 2011. Dlm agenda majlis akan berlangsung dari 9.00am to 11.30am. Mak aii!!! Lamonye... Apo bondo yg nak dikabokan ni? Adus!

Oke. Memula kita nanyi lagu Negaraku. Lps tu ada video xtiviti tahun 2010. Then kita dengo amanat dr Tan Sri Chairman. 10.30am abih dah. Pergh!!! Lega dah abih. Den dah kejung kesejukan kat dlm auditorium ni. Sejuk ya amat. Sahabat kat sebelah kemut nak share shawl dia ;) Lps tu kan tetiba puan pengerusi majlis kata slps ni kita ada sesi motivasi bersama dengan Prof. Dr. Muhaya. Hah??? Sesi motivasi? Prof. Dr. Muhaya? Apakah? Siapakah? Tak mengapa. Mungkin ini pembaharuan yang opis aku nak buat untuk tahun ini.

Orang yang disebut pun tiba. 1st time nampak Prof., sejuk ati den tgk. Perasaan ini dtg dr atiku yg tulus ikhlas ketika memandang wajah beliau. Tak tipu. Ini betul2 punya...

Bermulalah sesi motivasi. MasyaAllah... SubhannaAllah... Sesungguhnya aku sgt bersyukur mendengar talk from Prof. Sgt bersyukur kerana berpeluang untuk mendengarnya. Terima kasih opisku kerana menjemput beliau.

Kesedaran, keinsafan datang takkala beliau menceritakan tentang proses kejadian manusia. Insaf aku sbg hambaNya. Kerdil sungguh aku di sisiNya. Alhamdulillah, syukur, kerna aku masih bisa diberikan kesempatan untuk membetulkan kesalahan, kesilapan & kekhilafanku.

InsyaAllah apa yang Prof. sampaikan akan tersemat dan menjadi pembakar semangat untuk aku menjadi yg lebih baik untuk masa hadapan. Akan ku usahakan untuk memperbaiki kelemahanku ini. Agar aku menjadi anak yang solehah kepada kedua ibu bapaku dan insan yang disenangi oleh org yg berada di sekelilingku.

Setelah selesai sumanya. Aku duk kat tempat dan settlekan apa2 yg patut. Maklum nak half day utk gi serbis Cik Natrah lps ni. Then, dgn segera bukak pakcik google utk mencari siapakah gerangan wanita yang besemangat waja dan petah berbicara yg telah menjadi ikon saya ketika ini. Wah... baru saya tau. Saya sgt admire dgn beliau. Slps membaca serba sedikit berkenaan beliau. Di bwh ada sikit maklumat mengenai beliau untuk dikongsi bersama. Yg saya copy & paste dr website beliau.

Professor Dr. Muhaya Mohamad currently serves as Consultant Eye Surgeon and Director of PCMC Eye and Lasik Centre Prince Court Medical Centre, Professor of Ophthalmology of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Adjunct Professor to International Islamic University of Malaysia. Currently, she is the Chairperson of Malaysian Medical Association Ophthalmological Society.

Besides that, she does motivational speeches to UKM, PCMC staff and students, professionals and on TV and currently she’s also the Director of Personal Development of ACMS.

Prof Muhaya graduated from medical school in 1985, obtained a Fellowship in Uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital, United Kingdom in 1998, which culminated in a PhD from University of London in Ocular Immunology. She was the first Malaysian to sub-specialise in Uveitis and started the first Uveitis Service and immunosuppressive therapy in autoimmune eye diseases in the country

To date, she is the point of reference in the management of Uveitis cases since 1998 and has provided training for local ophthalmologists and residents in the field of Uveitis. In 2005, Prof Muhaya was awarded with Special Distinguished Service Award by the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) at the 20th Congress of APAO, Kuala Lumpur.

Prof Muhaya is also the first Malaysian to have a formal training in the use and interpretation of Optical Coherence Tomography which is the latest state of the art diagnostic instrument, crucial in the management of retina and glaucoma cases. In 2006 she organised the first OCT symposium in Malaysia.

Her latest achievement is being the first ophthalmologist in South East Asia to perform bladeless femtosecond LASIK using the Visumax system which is the latest bladeless LASIK system. As a Professor in Ophthalmology, she has been giving lectures to undergraduates and postgraduates of UKM in general ophthalmology, Uveitis, medical retina and neuro-ophthalmology.

Apart from Ophthalmology her other passion is personal development and motivation and she is a regular speaker in the ACMS and PCMC orientation week talking about personal effectiveness and a regular speaker for motivation talks to medical students in UKM, International Islamic University, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and Cyberjaya University College of Medicine. Her latest invitation on motivation is on Hot at One Motivation on TV1 on 2nd January 2009 and 16th February 2009 on topic “Self Esteem”.

Until today she appears on IKIM, TV1 and TV2 frequently. And to date, she has also recorded her new show on astro prima coming out this year.

She is frequently invited to local mass media to speak about eye diseases and has a regular column on eye care in the Utusan Malaysia. Professor Muhaya uses the holistic approach in dealing with her patients by stressing the importance of being grateful at every moment in their life. Her ability to incorporate Islamic values into everyday life and her professional practice makes her a much sought after speaker in personal and professional development talk and eye surgeon in Malaysia. She was instrumental in starting the personal and professional development module to be incorporated in UKM medical faculty curriculum.

p/s: Tak semua yang baik itu dapat diterima oleh suma orang. Ketika aku tgh mkn nasi ayam thai yg lazat & best di cafe. Kedengaran ckp2 kurang enak berkenaan beliau. Ada yang mempertikaian beliau. Ermm... ntahlah. Itu la manusia in reality. Oleh itu, tepuk dada tanya hati. Kalo hati mmg dh tak elok, mmg akan pandang org, sumanya tak elok jugak. Huhuhu... ;) Jd pikir2kanlah! Peace no war!
